I get quite a few inquires on using Amino Acids in drenching strategies. I definitely recommend the use of amino acids in your drenching protocol in many situations. In general the use of amino acids in your drenching regiment can help with firming, shape, and expression. You can mix them, along with your energy and electrolytes, or use them with straight water to get the required amounts into your show lamb or goat. Here are some safe and effective amounts: •For sheep or goats that are too fat and soft you need to start ideally two weeks out from your show and then continue administering through the duration of the show. 60 to 120 cc’s (sheep) 30 to 60 cc’s (goats) Give oral drench daily, while continuing your exercise program, right up until shearing time. •For sheep and goats that are in the right condition and shape you can use these same amounts along with your normal energy and electrolyte hydration, while on the road and at the show. •The lambs and goats that are less than ideal in fat cover and need to be smoother and fresher in their handle, do not need this product at all. It will be working against your energy and electrolyte supportives.
